Material Options
3/16" 5052-H32 Aluminum: This is your solid choice. Strong enough to take hits from rocks and stumps, and it's what most riders go with when they want dependable protection without breaking the bank.
3/16" Aluminum + 1/4" UHMW Overlay: Want even tougher protection? Add the UHMW layer on top and you get better shock absorption and a smoother ride over obstacles. Go this route if you're riding harder terrain regularly.
