3/16" Aluminum (SKU=871)
This is what we start with. We use 5052-H32 aluminum because it doesn't rust, can take a serious pounding, and does the job on the trail, in the field, or anywhere else you go.
3/16" Aluminum + 1/4" UHMW Overlay (SKU=871-P)
Same aluminum base, but with a thick UHMW plastic layer bolted to the top—no glue, nothing coming apart. The overlay is slippery, so rocks and logs slide off instead of catching. This setup is built for guys running tight timber, boulder piles, and gnarly wooded stuff.
