Two Material Choices
Aluminum: Go with 3/16" thick 5052-H32 aluminum if you want maximum strength and durability. It'll hold up to serious abuse and keep your machine's guts safe.
UHMW: The 1/2" UHMW option soaks up impacts differently—it flexes and rebounds rather than transferring shock to your frame. Some guys prefer this for really rocky terrain.
Black Powder Coat Finish
Want your skid plates to look good and last longer? Add a black powder coat finish to protect against rust and UV:

Aluminum kits: Coat the front bash plate, A-arm guards, rear linkage protection, rock sliders (standard or mini), and frame skids — add $290

If you order with powder coat, plan on waiting an extra 1–2 weeks for shipping. You can't do partial coating on the aluminum option—it's all or nothing.
