Kawasaki KLX300R Skid Plate (2020-2026) | Redesigned & Built Tougher
We completely redesigned this skid plate from scratch, and it's now tougher than ever. You get full protection for your undercarriage on any terrain — rocks, logs, stumps, you name it. The aluminum base comes standard, and if you want even more grip and shock absorption, you can add a UHMW plastic overlay on top. Either way, your KLX300R stays safe underneath. Installation takes minutes with the custom hardware we include — no drilling into your frame, no hassle.

Material Options
Aluminum Base: 0.160" thick 5052-H32 aircraft-grade aluminum with a clear anodized finish that resists corrosion.
Aluminum + UHMW Overlay: Same tough aluminum base with a UHMW plastic layer bonded on top. This gives you better sliding action and absorbs impacts more effectively if you're constantly bashing rocks and logs.
Already Have One?
If you're running our KLX300R skid and want to add the UHMW overlay, we sell just the overlay piece separately. It's cut to fit right on top of your existing plate.
Why Chromoly Hardware Matters
The brackets we use are Chromoly — more than twice as strong as standard steel. Your skid stays tight, won't rattle, and comes off easy when you need to service something underneath.
Black Powder Coat Option
Want black instead of the natural aluminum finish? Add a durable black powder coat for an extra $45. If you go this route, plan on 1-2 extra weeks for shipping while we get that coating on.
