This Kawasaki KX500 skid plate (1988–2002 models) is built from 5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum and comes in at .160 inch thick—solid enough to handle rocks, roots, and whatever else you hit. It ships with a clear anodize finish that gives you protection right out of the box, along with all the hardware you need to bolt it on.

Installation
No drilling or tapping into your frame. The brackets bolt straight on using the hardware Ricochet includes—takes an afternoon, tops.

It comes standard with a clear anodize that'll hold up. If you want something more visible, you can add a black powder coat finish for an extra layer of protection. Fair warning: if you go that route, plan on waiting an extra 1–2 weeks for it to ship. The black powder coat is the only color available if you choose this upgrade.
