Picking Your Material
All Aluminum (F): Solid, rigid, built tough. This is the full-coverage option — everything's aluminum, everything handles impacts well, and it'll last you years of hard riding.
Hybrid (F-P): You get aluminum where you need it, plus a 1/4" layer of UHMW plastic on top. That plastic layer slides over rocks and debris without sticking. Good for riders who bounce between different terrain types.
Half-Inch UHMW Belly Pan (F-U): Swaps out just the belly pan for a thick 1/2" UHMW plastic piece. UHMW slides smooth, doesn't need lubrication, and glides over rocky or rooted ground. The rest of the kit stays aluminum. Pick this if you're mostly on technical, rocky trails.
