Material Choices
You've got two options here. The standard setup uses 3/16" aluminum (5052 H-32 grade) — it's tough and holds up well. If you want extra protection on 2014 and newer models, you can add a 1/4" UHMW layer on top for better impact resistance.
Black Powder Coat
Want a black finish instead of raw aluminum? You can add that for $80, but it'll push your ship date out another week or two while it goes through the coating process. Black powder coat is available on all model years.
