Material Choices
3/16" Aluminum (Standard)
5052 H32 aircraft-grade aluminum, 0.160 inches thick, with a clear anodized finish. Solid protection that weighs less than the overlay option.
3/16" Aluminum with 1/4" UHMW Overlay (Heavier Duty)
Same aluminum base as above, but topped with a 1/4" layer of UHMW polyethylene. This combo absorbs impacts better and cuts down on noise when you're bouncing over rough ground.
The Hardware Story
We designed custom Chromoly brackets specifically for the KLX230R. They're more than twice as strong as regular steel, so they won't bend or fail. The fasteners stay locked in place and come out clean whenever you need to remove the plate.

Black Powder Coat Finish
Want it in black instead of the natural aluminum look? Add a black powder coat for a tougher, darker finish. Just know that if you go this route, plan on an extra 1-2 weeks before it ships out.
