This is a Ricochet skid plate built for your Yamaha YZ490 (1984–1990 models, including YZ125X). It's made from aircraft-grade aluminum that's thick enough to handle serious abuse without bending or cracking. The whole thing comes with all the brackets and hardware you need, and you don't have to drill or tap anything into your frame—it bolts right on.

Installation is straightforward. The hardware is designed specifically for this plate, so everything lines up the way it should. Clear anodize comes standard to keep the aluminum from oxidizing and looking rough after a season or two of riding.
Finish Choices
You've got two ways to go here. The plate ships with clear anodize as-is. If you want a black powder coat instead, we can do that for you—just add some time to your order (plan on 1–2 extra weeks). Black powder coat is also available if you want to do a custom color yourself; the surface comes ready for whatever you want to throw at it.
